i was pondering weather i should pierce my lip on my own. im only 13 so i'll know i'll get in trouble if my parents find out but they are gone 8 hours a day except sat and sun and i only spend about an hr a weekday with them and its summer vacay so no school. the only bad things would be when dad starts his new job he'll be home more often and my sis is home with me every day. should i or not?

you shouldn't. if you get an infection on your lip you'll look like an idiot. and since it has to do with your face you'll probably want a professional to do it, why dont you pierce your bellybutton instead

i wouldnt. you might get an infection w/o the proper equip. plus i hear lip piercing leave a funky scare/hole.

NOOO way.u culd hide it from them the first few days.but eventually they will find out..if i were you id wait till they say yes..or till u move out of the house.BUT if u really want it then only wear it wen ur not with ur parents

that's a very dangerous thing to do.even by a professional.you have many nerves in your lips,tongue & mouth..once you damage them they are damaged forever.plus they can become infected easily.
Try one of those " clip on body earings"..one you won't get in trouble with your parents..two..no damage to your lips/nerves..three.when you figure out it was not what you wanted.no hole their.
Your parents will find out quicker than you think.

Don't do it, 1: it looks stupid 2: you should get your parents permission before you do something like that,3: it's something that should be done by a professional only!!, 4: you are too young to be considering even doing it!..if your going to do it wait till you are older, or have your parents permission and when that time comes make sure it's done by a professional only so it has less chance of being infected.

If you don't take my advise a least consider what justnanous said as they make a lot of good points and they have seen the dangers of it
