If you wear sunscreen, can you still get a tan?

Question:
I know this probably sounds like a dumb question, but I have never heard the facts.

Answers:
yep!
no matter the spf, lotion can't block all the rays.

Other Answers:
Hmm..I dont think so..I mean the sun screen blocks the UV rays, which I think give you a tan..im not sure though
Yes, A heathly tan too. Suntan lotion helps block the harmful rays from the sun.
yes you can. nothing is 100 % proof from not getting burnt or tan. you can still get a tan in the shade.
Yes, you can still get a tan and you can still get burned. Sunscreen and sun block only deter UV rays for so long. It does have to be reapplied. It also depends on the strength of the product. If you want to avoid burning, use something higher than 15. Anything higher than 30 isn't any more effective than 30 either. The best sunscreen for children is Bullfrog.
yeah, the lower the spf, the better tan you will get, dont stay out in the sun for too long :)
yes you can still tan with sunscreen. You can even still tan with sunblock, but not as easily with sunblock. Both must be reapplied throughout the day and after swimming or exercise. All shades of healthy skin are ok now. You don't have to be a bronzed goddess to be pretty. As a matter of fact too dark for your natural skin tone is more unattractive than attractive.
