I had a similar problem and went to go see an ENT about it, turns out it was something stupid and all I had to do was keep popping my ears for 2 days straight (every 10 minutes according to the doc) and then I was fine. It has a real technical name to it, but I can't remember it.

Sounds like something with air pressure. I don't know, have you seen a doctor?
Maybe you have sinus trouble. Or high build up of wax. Or both!
have you been changing altitude often?
are u sure you do not have an ear infection...you have the symptoms! try taking decongestants for a couple of days plus advil...and see if it goes away
TMJ make an appointment with your dentist, a simple splint to wear at night will solve your problem.
ps...work in I work in the dental field and also suffer from TMJ
possibly a sinus infection. i've had allergies cause this as well. there's also the possibility that it's stress related. my first job out of college stressed me out so bad that my neck would be very tight and it would eventually clog my ears. so, relaxation helped there. also be aware that roaches like to make homes in ears. scary.
could be you have a runny nose and sniffling gives you the popping ears
Sounds like you have some sort of allergies or nasal congestion. It is amazing how much these two things can affect. In me, I have allergies which gives me headaches, nasal & ear congestion, with dizziness at times because it affects my equilibrium. I usually catch this before it turns into an infection. My recommendation is to take a decongestant and see if that helps at all. I won't hurt you, unless you have allergies to this sort of medication. I prefer either Tylenol sinus for minor pain or if I am really congested I take Claritin D (12 or 24 hour). But the claritin may "wire" you a bit and hinder your sleeping if you take it too late in the day.
Good luck to you and hope this helps. Hope you feel better soon!!
sounds like you have fluid in your eustatian tubes...find a site and compare symptoms..
