What is/was their secret to longevity?

103 my great grandma the funny thing was she was the typical person you would have thought would have died at 50.
She drank,chewed tobacco, ate the typical fatty southern foods. So it goes to show the Dr arent always right.

my great-grandmother's friends lived into their 80's and 90's and I think it was pure meanness than did it.

You ever sat in a room with 25 elderly Southern Baptist women? The awful things they'd say about people, then excuse with "bless their heart". my GOD!

My great grandma was about 98. She did one shot of vodka everyday of her adult life. My Grandmother lived to be 90, Mom 82, Mom's brothers 97 & 95 so I guess I come from a long life bunch.

I used to work in a short term rehab facility and took care of a lady who was 117, or should i say she took care of me since she was as sharp as ever. she had 12 kids 29 grand kids 52 great grands 115 great great grands 129 great great great grands she had great great great grand kids but she could never keep track of just how many!

My great great grandma, she was 103 years old when she passed away. I was 15. She was of Mexican/ native descent. The other women of my family say it is a curse, that all the women of my family will live way passed their loved ones. I don't know how true that is, but my great grandma is still alive,as well as all the women on my mother's side of the family.

all those peeps that live long are from like china usually.its like the water there and the rice and stuff. they live to be like 112 no joke its soo sick i wanna live ther.e.. maybe not 100 years old.stay active and laugh and chase the ladies

My Great Uncle was 99 and he said his secret was always doing what he morally felt was right, never doing anything he would regret and living each day like it was his last. He also never put anything "extra" on food that it didn't need for cooking. He never drank alcohol in his whole life and he never smoked.

105yrs old. Low stress. Good disposition.
