Whats wrong with my sunblock?

Question:
Im using "Banana Boat" Baby Tear Free UVA & UVB Sunblock (SPF 50). Why do I break out into a rash when I use it? A lot of the ingredients don't even show up on a web search.

Answers:
try an all natural sunblock -- here is a recipe if ya wanna try. I would have thought a baby sunblock woulda had less irritants..good luck

Other Answers:
Maybe an allergic reaction to that certain kind of sunblock.

Operator error? Nothing wrong with the sunblock. Sounds like you're allergic to something in it - quit using it and get some other kind. Compare ingredients and make sure the new one is different.

Well, that hasn't happened to me, but i dont buy banana boat. Banana boat's ingredients dont show probably because maybe the web is dumb. Sometimes, the internet lies, and also searching websites

You're definitely allergic to it. It's pretty common. You'll need to use a sunblock that's made for babies or children that is "PABA free".

It may be an allergic reaction. There's probably a different formula for the baby lotion (since it is for babies). Try another sunblock. You don't need all that UV protection. A baby has more exposed skin, but you can use a common everyday sunblock that's UVA/UVB SPF 30 (the recommended SPF is 15, so you'd be ahead of the crowd). For more varieties go to http://www.bananaboat.com or http://www.coppertone.com. There's even a cool continuous spray so you don't have to tire out your finger(s). Um I think you are breaking out in a rash because you are using a baby formula. And you are obviously not a baby so stop using that kind of sunblock

i dunno.try different sunscreen

Its not the sunblock it is you try another brand I agree with burberry_princess.

Some people react differently even to "hypoallergenic" products. Me personally, I break out in hives when I use Bath & Body Works body sprays.

Try a different sun block or stay out of the sun for a while.

just try a different kind of sunblock
