are transition lens safe to wear for driving at night?

Question:

Answers:
I don't think so. When my mum was working for Eurostar, she knew some of the drivers and they were not allowed to wear transition lenses when driving at all, as they don't always 'transit' quick enough.

It is the same principle when driving. Use regular glasses when driving, and if you are getting glare from the sun during the day, use normal prescription sunglasses, or pull down the shades on both the driver and passenger sides.

Other Answers:
Yeah because they will detect the darkness and have no tint
Yes, it is safe to drive with transitions. I have transition lens, and they don't change at night, just in the sun, and they start to turn back when you're out from the sun.
i wear transitional lenses. i have a hard time seeing at night, specially when another car is coming in opposite direction. another problem is when you step into a building, it takes a while before you can actually see.
