i have a 3 yr old and a 2 month old and im always very tired i drink coffe but you can only consume so much of that before you start to shake, im not into pills so they are of no use to me im really looking for something all natural and healthier than coffee(haha) if thats possible!!

Answers:
Have you tried Centrum 1 a Day for women? It really helped me after the birth of our fourth daughter. Eating a breakfast that is light and rich in antioxidants helps boost your immune system. Protein is great for giving you energy. Good luck mom.

you need to try to get them to nap around the same time.. i know its hard.. trust me! but then you can sleep when they sleep. If you can find a sitter to help with the older one so you can sleep with the new baby. you will be a much better mother all around if you can just get some time to actually sleep.

Im feeling for you! Ive been there!

Unfortunately, probably no substitute for sleep. You may have to resort to your parents or even the in-laws for help! Have you considered energy drinks? They come in a ton of flavors. A lot of people suffer from tiredness because they are not giving their body what it needs, add 2 children and you probably are wondering if you are going to be tired for the rest of your life. Ensure is a drink that doctors recommend for people of all walks of life, I pour it over a glass of ice to get it really cold and it's like a thin milkshake. p.s. go easy on the caffeine, coffee is a diuretic (not sure I spelled that right) makes you urinate - this washes out your body under normal conditions, but too much and you might be loosing vitamins and minerals that you need from too much coffee.

Either keep the baby up more during the day, so it will sleep through most of the night, or have both of your children take a nap together during the day so you can too. Your 2 month old shouldn't be sleeping that much during the day anyway.

Eating a diet that stresses protein (poultry and fish are best, unless you are a vegetarian and then soy is very good), low glycemic carbohydrates (look up a glycemic index) and good fat (olive oil for cooking, almonds or peanuts for snacking), may ease you during this stressful time. It helps keep your blood sugar level during the day, and evening - so you have some energy for the night.

A similarly made snack before you go to bed will help too.

If you are breastfeeding, then this leveling of blood sugar may help your newborn sleep better, too. Drinking so much coffee to stay awake may be impeding your sleep. Try cutting back on the coffee you drink after about 2pm and see if you sleep better.
The first priority is to get more sleep. Others have suggested putting the kids down for a nap at the same time so you can have one too. If this works, that is a wonderful idea.
There are some good suggestions about diet here as well. sleep when they do. Take a nap when they do thats the only way to stay alert and healthy.
