How long was your recovery time after a rotary cuff tear surgery?

Question:

Answers:
My wife tore her rotary cuff, but never needed
surgery. Just immobilize it with a splint, unless
your doctor insists on surgery. You can always get a second opinion. My wife's hurt (some minor pain) for over two years.

Other Answers:
I have had the surgery on both of my shoulders. The right one was first. Last may. I still have some pain and sometimes wake up at night from the pain. But the overall pain is not as bad as it was before the surgery. Now on the left shoulder I just had the surgery June 1st, And I am still experiencing pain. not the same as befor the surgery but it does still hurt. They told me 6 months to a year to be fully healed. That is with physical therapy and exercise.
