What are MOA inhibitors and what medicines are these?

Question:
I take lexapro and it says not to take with a MOA inhibitor but I take a lot of medication and don't know what might be one

Answers:
MAO inhibitors are another class of antidepressants. They are usually only used after other medications have failed because there are serious dietary restrictions required. The link below has a listing of most commonly used MAOIs. If you're not sure, ask your pharmacist or doctor.
They are a blood pressure med and are clearly marked as mao inhibitors. Call the drugstore and ask the if you aren't sure. There's a good book "good pills, bad pills) I love it. And Walgreen's gives you a great printout about all your meds.
