Constant feeling of scratchy feeling in eye?

Question: My eyes started to act weird about 3 weeks ago, I get this constant feeling of foriegn eye body sensation and scratchy feeling in my eyes. Went to 2 eye doctors that said there was nothing wrong with my eyes. Went to my general doctor and he said it could be allergies and gave me Acular eye drop and Zyrtec, been taking is for almost a week with every little improvement. My eyes are very strained, tired, itchy and red. Any one else out there feeling any of this?

Answers:
Did your eye doctor check for astigmatism? That could account for the strained, tired eyes. This is easily corrected by lenses/eye glasses (especially for reading purposes.)

As for the redness, itchyness, etc... sounds like allergies. But if it hasn't healed yet, or if you experience any pussing or abnormal smells (sounds wierd, i know) then it could by Pink Eye infection. Go back to the doctor when you get a chance.
