Absolutely. I'm about the same age, and I decided I wanted a remote-control helicopter for my birthday a couple weeks ago. :-)

I even told that to my mom--half joking--when she asked what I wanted. She was game. We went out shopping, along with my brother, whose birthday was also close, but didn't find that.

And I still want one, I still want one, I still want one, I still want one!... and I'm gonna hold my breath til I get one!
