How hair-conditiona. works ? is it helpful ? which brand is better ?

Question:

Answers:
Conditioners work by neutralizing the hair's pH and smoothing the cuticle down. What a lot of people don't know though, is that sometimes conditioner can have the opposite effect. especially protien conditioners. When you continually use protien conditioners on your hair.. the protien just keeps building up and building up, and eventually your hair can't take it anymore and it will start to break off. So it is important when using a heavy conditioner to make sure that you shampoo it out with a CLEANSING shampoo. That way you remove the build up. I am familiar w/ Paul Mitchell products.. The Detangler is a great conditioner that won't build up, and it's safe for color treated hair :)

conditioner works by 'binding' the hair, making it easier to control, and detangles knotty hair.most brands work well, just buy one for your own hair type [oily, dry, damaged, fine etc]

your hair consists of tiny little scales(like fish scales) when it is tangled and knotty the scales are up, when you use conditioner the scales go down. There are a lot of different conditioners out there. The ones at a chemist are usually the best, be careful there is no silicone or plastic type products in them, as they will coat your hair and make it look good for a while, but they do get a build up and are not good for your hair.
