My health nurse told me that very rarely a child is sick enough to hold off on immunizations. Keep your appointment, but tell them about the fever and infections before they administer the needle. They will be able to tell you whether it's safe or not.
Some physicians say yes, while others say no. Your doctor is going to be the one to tell you what their practice is. You also have the right to tell the MD that you prefer waiting a week for your child to get his immunization. A week won't mess the schedule up.
