My kids pediatrician makes us wait 48 hours after the fever has broken
I would wait.
Tell your doctor about the fever and other symptoms. Probably not on the immunizations.
My health nurse told me that very rarely a child is sick enough to hold off on immunizations. Keep your appointment, but tell them about the fever and infections before they administer the needle. They will be able to tell you whether it's safe or not.
Some physicians say yes, while others say no. Your doctor is going to be the one to tell you what their practice is. You also have the right to tell the MD that you prefer waiting a week for your child to get his immunization. A week won't mess the schedule up.
Don't wait until the day of to tell them about the fever and infection and your concerns. If they're not going to give the immunization, then you wasted their time and your own.
No they should not
no your doctor should not give the immunizations for at least 2-3 day after any type of illness has passed
No. In fact, the pediatrician won't give them shots if they're running a fever, unless it's a shot to cure the fever, and any doctor who would say otherwise -- I'd check with another peidatrician, even if it's just a phone call to see what they think.
If the fever is gone, i would, but not without asking the pediatrician first
nope the doctor wants then healthy and happy when they come for theit shots..( i think they enjoy seeing them happy & then makin them cry)
