Question:
i have bad eczema on my legs and arms. i have had it since i was born it gets better and worse, i am so sick of it, i avoid wearing skirts and shorts because im afraid people might think im wierd and even when it gets better there is always some there and i am starting to notice visible scarring, does anyone have any remedies for this that are not expensive, i have tried countless creams and lotions but i cant get rid of it. it can actually be very painful especialy in the night or cold weather.

Answers:
Have you tried tea tree oil? I've recommended this to people with severe eczema and it has really worked for them. It cleared my acne up in a matter of days, and nothing else had ever worked for me. It works wonders on most skin conditions.

I buy mine from an ebay store, NaturesInventory. They sell it for very cheap, 4 times less than I can get it here at a drugstore.

You can use it straight too. Don't dilute it. Soak a cotton pad and apply it directly to the skin. If you have trouble with this on your scalp, you can also add some to your shampoo or conditioner. Try it and see!

Your hot.

what about taking vitamin E tablets. you can ingest them or you can break them open and put it directly on your skin. also, what about baby oil? that helps my super dry spots, especially if you can cover it some how. the doctor gives my daughter a cream for her eczema

Have you tried going to a Dermatologist, over the counter medications may not be enough.

I sure wish I could snap my fingers and make it disappear for you but I can't and I don't know of a cheap remedie.

My family has it too.inherited. My little sister and I have it. It's so awful. We have went to a dermotologist and everything, but there is just no cure for it . Most people outgrow it. We have tried lotions, elidel, steroid cream, vaseline, vitamin E, and everything. Tough luck, no cure . My Brother had the same thing. It runs in the same family as milk allergies and asthma I am told. He finally got rid of his by going to the beach and splashing in sea water. He also takes lots of sea water home to use in between going to the beach. Its worth a go .

i know everybody does not want to go to the doctor. Try Neutrogena.

Get some Balsam of Myrrh and massage it onto your legs at night before bedtime or anytime you're going to be home for a while. Put on some L O N G socks or leggings to keep it from getting elsewhere because it does stain fabric and has a strong odor. It is essentially made for skin rashes and works wonders.

you can buy this cream thats called aqueous cream. i have a friend who's little son has eczema and that is what is prescribed for him. you can try your pharmacy and see if they have. Go to the hospital. The exact thing happened to me when I was younger. When I moved to middle school, there was a rumor going around that I had a wooden leg because of my limp. I went to a dermatologist and she immediately sent me to the hospital I was only their for three days and with the IV and creams that they gave me, I was completely healed. I was wearing shorts for the first time ever. I hope the best for you
