Has anyone ever heard of Reflexology?

Question:
Have you ever been to a reflexologist? Was it helpful?

Answers:
Reflexology is a natural healing art, based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands which correspond to every part of the body." By stimulating and applying pressure to the feet or hands, you are increasing circulation and promoting specific bodily and muscular functions.

Reflexology treats all the organs of the body through the feet, but not only this - it clears blocked energy pathways throughout the body enabling organs and glands to function properly and in a holistic way. When a blockage is removed from one area, this in turn promotes the free flow of energy to a related area, and so on. It can show benefits to the physical body or, as in this case, to the emotional body so that the heart can stimulate the brain into alternative ways of thinking or behaving.

Its like going to a Chiropractor; You have to go more than once for it to be effective.
Reflexology most commonly performed in feet. It is when a particular region correlates with a body part or organ. Based on the fact that when we were embryos we were a ball and now we are formed and all stretched out. For example pressing on your big toe might correlate with an organ. Auricular therapy is the same concept within the ear. The body is mapped out over the ear. Reflexology is a technique a Chiropractor might use as part of their treatments.
It helps my mother-in-law greatly. Some how the pressure they apply, usually to the hands and feet, releases the stress of the nervous system to give adjustment to your body. There is a need for consistancy but I don't know how often it should be applied. My mother-in-law goes about 2X per week. It may depend on the circumstances. I have a hand and feet chart if you'd like.
