snapped toenail?

Omigod. My little Pug snapped one of her nails this morning, and I can tell it's hurting her a lot. I'll probably end up taking her to the vet. As far as you go, if it doesn't hurt then I wouldn't mess with it. When it grows back, it may grow back ingrown, depending on what damage, if any, was done to the nail bed. If it's a bad ingrown nail then you may end up requiring medial treatment (cross that bridge IF you get to it). Keep it clean. then you can put a band-aid on it. After a day take the band-aid off. It will heal, but VERY slowly. Good luck!
