Why does crying make your head hurt?

Question:

Answers:
crying helps to release endorphins into the bloodstream. Endorphins are chemicals that act as mood-elevators and pain relievers. Both this and the above theory give chemical credence to the assertion that most people feel physically better after having a good sob.
it makes your head hurt because if it's a good bawl you are physically exhausted, or the stress that leaded up to the cry causes the headache.

Other Answers:
It dehydrates your brain. Ouch.

YOU EITHER CRY WAY TOO MUCH OR WAY TOO HARD. i know this. its from the muscles in ur head then contract. its the same thing that can make u have headaches.

your face kinda swells and then you subconsciously strain to get the tears out and it puts pressure on the brain.

sinus and muscle contractions will do it every time.

When you cry.Well you dont let enoughf air into your head. it dilates the blood vessels in your eyes and all over your head, thats why you also get red eyes when you cry.

it builds up pressure in your sinuses as the tears move out of the tear duct and into the nasal cavity.there's a whole in your eye that does this (i can't remember the name of it) it's also why you get a runny nose when you cry. Nasal drip causes sinus headaches.
