my adult hermit crab has molted 3 times in the last 4-5 months. She seems to be very healthy. Is this normal?

How big is she?? Normally smaller crabs will molt every few weeks.. but I have a couple big boys who molt whenever they feel like it. It is Normal and is a sign that they are happily growing.

Make sure you provide lots of clacium, protein and color enhancing foods. Plenty of fresh and oceanic/marie de-chlor water and she should be good to go!

Make sure also that you keep a good selection of shells rotating in and out of the tank.. eventually she will slow down and will need a shell that is just right!

P.S. most pet stores know little or nothing about them.. they only can tell you to read the handbooks which are ALL outdated and most websites are equally outdated except a handful that I know of.

Wow.I would call a pet shop or look online to see if this is normal. If would think that as long as she is eating and moving around she is ok..
