Why do I get so sleepy before a thunderstorm or when it rains?

Question:

Answers:
This is nothing more than a guess.Your bio rhythms may be affected by the drop in atmospheric pressure. This happens to fish who feed more during low pressure fronts. That's why fishing is better right before it rains. It's a shot in the dark but it's all I've got for you.It could have to do with lack of natural full spectrum light also. There is a condition known as SAD which results during seasonal changes in the amount of full spectrum light we get.Light from incandescent bulbs and fluorescent is not full spectrum unless it's a grow light.

It could be that you are sensative to the barametric pressure change. When a storm rolls in the pressure decreases.

It would be much like the pressure in an air plane if the cabin decompressed everyone on board would go to sleep.
What Is Seasonal Affective Disorder?
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that appears at the same time each year. With SAD, a person typically has symptoms of depression and unexplained fatigue as winter approaches and daylight hours become shorter. When spring returns and days become longer again, people with SAD experience relief from their symptoms, returning to their usual mood and energy level.
I think it's because rainy days are gray and sort of depressing.
