lazer eye surgery?

Question:

my mom is really pressing me to get it done, but I'm skeptical. I talked to a optometrist about it and he said that it's very likely a temporary fix and that I'll need glasses again later. my mom says he's talking about when I'm old and my eyes are decaying, but I don't know.

I'm also kind'a fond of my glasses. I mean, yeah, they can be a bother sometimes, but I've had glasses since 5th grade and I cant imagine life without them.

my mom says it'll make me prettier.
which makes me feel like crap, but oh well.

what say you?

If you like your glasses then don't do it, but most people look better w/o them so i dunno. the surgery goes bad just like a prescription for glasses, but i think its supposed to take 2-3 times as long to go bad and then you can do it again. i'd do it, but what you do is up to you.

if you are happy with your glasses then keep them...lazer surgery is no guarantee...you may have to go back 6 months from now and do it again...dont let your mom make that choice for you..its your eyes your choice...and it doesnt have anything to do with looking better..if a guy just like you because you dont have glasses hes low class anyway...
