what are the symptom of an allergic reaction to food when pregnant and how to treat?

Question:

Answers:
If you think you might be having an allergic reaction get to a doctor. Don't put yourself or the baby in danger by waiting around here for an answer

Other Answers:
Get to the hospital. Since you're pregnant, you can't take Benadryll, which will keep your throat from swelling shut. You will swell up, vomit, vomit, and vomit some more, have extremely bad diarehha, and will just be "sick" for a long time (well, a day or two, but that's a long time to be puking your guts out.)
What are the symptoms?
Food allergies can cause many different symptoms. They can range from mild to serious. If you eat a food you are allergic to:

Your mouth may tingle, and your lips may swell.
You may have cramps, an upset stomach, or diarrhea.
You may have itchy skin with red, raised bumps called hives.
You may have a stuffy nose, wheeze, or be short of breath.
You may feel dizzy or lightheaded.
Call your doctor right away.....BUT IF YOU HAVE ANAPHYLAXIS:
The most severe reaction is called anaphylaxis (say “ANN-uh-fuh-LAK-suss”). It affects your whole body. Anaphylaxis usually starts within an hour after you eat the food, and the symptoms can come back 1 to 2 hours later. If you have anaphylaxis:

Your throat and tongue may swell quickly.
You may suddenly start wheezing or have trouble breathing.
You may feel sick to your stomach or vomit.
You may feel faint or pass out.
Anaphylaxis can be deadly. If you have (or see someone having) any of these symptoms, call 911 right away.

You will need your doctor to tell you what your diagnosis is when he sees you and he is the only person to give you treatment and to tell you how to treat yourself, (as delicate as you are, being pregnant and all) not anyone else! You need to be carefull about taking medical advice from a stranger that doesn't know anything about you, because if you did, your symptoms could get worse and It could be fatal to you and the baby! I hope that I've helped you. Take care! Ask your doctor or a certified nurse about what kinds of foods that you shouldn't eat while being pregnant. !-)
