Anyone out there with a toddler with developmental delays on glutein and dairy free diet seen improvements?

Question:

Answers:
Yes but you have to be careful that they really need a gluten-free and casein-free diet because lack of fiber in that age will lead to issues later on. Be sure you're working with a registered dietitian to assure you have the fiber content adequate so you don't end up with diverticulitis and worse.

It has shown excellent results with autistic children in particular. Check out www.autismndi.com for many more recipes and advice.

I work with children who have behavior and/or emotional problems (some who also have developmental delays). I have seen improvements with the children who follow the diet rigidly.
My son had to be dairy free from birth up to about the age of 2. he never really had developmental problems, though. We had him tested right before his 2 year old birthday and the allergies were totally gone. He's eating cheese and stuff made with milk now, but has never developed the taste for cow's milk straight. He still drinks Soy milk by itself. Have patience. It may change for you soon. I would recommend testing before trying any dairy products, though, because there is always the problem of anaphalactic (?sp) shock. We had to keep an epi-pen handy for that reason.
