What are the transparent strings like sort I see sometimes?


Question:
it weird.but i read it in some book and now i forgot the name of it.but just wondering is it bad for me?
its like.one of those stirngs screensaver on windows..where thr are like 4-5 round cirular rubber band sort and they just swiggle around.and in differnt shape.but the ones i see are transparent and i can see through it.but it just bothers me..i just suddenly pay attention to those.and then they go away.and suddenly they come back..sometimes i don't notice them..
and usually they follow my sight..but at slower pace.. exactly like the screensaver.just wondering wut that is called..?.

They are called "floaters." they are caused by cells inside your eye that naturally slough off, just like skin and other cells die and slough off. Supposedly they eventually get absorbed into the jelly stuff inside your eyeball.
