??? I am asking for some help with a knee replacement, PLEASE HELP>>>?

Question:

1st of all, I had a TKR done 9 yrs ago. when in for it to be redone, last April, they found it to be very bad infected.., They took ALL hardware out. and tryed to clean out the infection out. Since then here I still set with out in knee in my leg at all. They can not put in another knee in with out the infection is gone all the way. NOW, the Dr seems to think I may need to have my leg fused, meaning I will not be able to bend at all. { I THINK HE IS GIVING UP } The leg will be about 3 / 4 inches shorter. I really dont want to do this. and I would like to find anyone that may have there knee fused, for some info. Help if you can PLEASE

Sweetie, I too have knee problems and will need a knee replacement in a few years but the very best advice I can give you right now is to seek out another doctor because it does sound like this doctor is giving up and doesn't want to bother and maybe because it just might take longer then he wants to wait for the infection to clear up.
I beg you not to continue with this doctor before getting another opinion and the sooner the better too.
But be very careful what you tell the other doctor about this one because he/she just might not want to go against his opinion and that would not be good for you and your knee.
Besides you are way to young to follow what this doctor wants to do now anyway.
If the second opinion is the same then you just might have to go through with it anyway but I do suggest that you all wait for the infection to clear up completely or you may end up worse then now.
