and maybe even their own homes, why is it not considered child abuse or child endangerment when a pregnant woman smokes or you see an adult in a closed up car smoking while children are passengers? i think some standards need to be set, especially since only days ago, the 2nd hand smoke debate proved to be real.

Answers:
There have been issues brought up in child custody cases for years over second hand smoke. Basically someone involved in a given situation needs to make it an issue. Otherwise, if no one is complaining, these things go unnoticed. Unfortuantely the police and justice system have a few other little items to handle.

Personally, I believe that you shouldn't be smoking at all if someone else is around, the second-hand smoke has now been proven as harmful and so you are actively harming another with this action.

I do agree with people being allowed personal choice in what they do to themselves, but I wouldn't agree with someone choosing to throw darts at other people for fun.
