Someone forwarded a list to me showing the actual cost to make some medicine and the 2 or 3 thousand percent mark up. I lost it and would like another copy. Some resercher in Washington D.C. had found it an put it on the web.

thats kinda crazy. like abercrombie clothes its probably just like 4$ to make and they sell the jeans for like 200$ in the ezra section. but still medicine is needed so what are you gonna do with the list. fight it? theres nothing you can do really.. just yahoo! it and type in percent markup on perscription medicines.or seomthign keep trying

yes, like tobacco, it's a highly profitable industry. For example for over the counter large bottle of tylenol could cost upwards of $15 and probably cost the drug store about $10 would only cost the manufacturer under $2.50.

You should see the markup on jewelry! If we knew what the markup was on everything we would be very reluctant to buy anything.
If someone is in the market place to make money then the markup will be whatever we the people are willing to pay. AARP is pushing for publication of drug prices at each pharmacy so one could make a choice. You can help by telling your legislators that you are interested in such a law.
