Why do we sleep talk? I been told that i have been sleep talking almost every night.?

Im not sure but sometimes i talk or laugh while im asleep and i wake myself up thinking someone is in the roo mwith me....maybe in your dreams your talking to someone and you think they dont hear you so you raise your voice and you end up talking out loud.....i dont know google it.....
