What can I do?

I can either boil in my hot stuffy un-air conditioned house (it's 86 in here at the moment) or open the windows and let the smell of something dead in. What can I do? I need to get up early and the decomp on the breeze is making me nauseous.

put a dab of mentholatum or an aromatic oil under your nose. vicks works well! Also invest in a fan!

Surely you can complain about the condition to the proper authority like the environmental agency to get to the source of that dread smell. Do you live by a farm? Maybe you should move away.
