how do i prevent/get rid of a crack in the corner of my lips?

Question: Every couple of months I get a crack right in the corner of my mouth and it takes FOREVER to get rid of because everytime I open my mouth it splits again...I heard that a vitamin B definciency can cause it. Is that true?
