Giving blood?
Question:
Answers:
No..no bigger than the normal ones.
Ah, don't worry about it. I give blood every time I can. it's easy and I have a fear of needles.
It's not so bad and think you'll be saving the lives of people. Just think about that while your giving blood.
And you get a soda/cookie afterwards. :-)
Other Answers:
no it's not a big needle if you have just had a baby they most likely did blood tests it's the same sized needle, believe me i work as a nurse
The length of the needle doesn't matter, it is the width of the needle. But it only hurts for a second. If you had a baby, you can manage this :-)
Don't let him scare you. The needle isn't that bad. I've given blood a lot. If you can deal with the pain of having a baby...you can handle anything.
I've given blood several times so I'll be honest with you. The needle is exceptionally large...for a needle that is. But if you're serious about this the best thing you can do is turn your head while they stick it in. That's what I always do, I never watch. As for pain...it feels like a little pinch. It's not that bad. You'll be fine. Good luck!
PS: If you can give birth to a child, you can do anything! LOL
It's not that big of a deal. The needle isn't huge it's just normal. It only hurts for about 3 seconds then you barely know it's there.
I've donated blood about 12 times in my life so I know what I'm talking about. Just do it :-) good luck.
I think he is just trying to scare you. Just dont pay any attention to the needle or what the nurse is doing and dont think about it. Preoccupy you thought with something totally different. I am scared of needles and have passed out before and doing these things seemed to help me. Good luck.
The needle is not huge. Give blood. There are so many people that need it.
Great question. The needle is a little bigger than a regular shot, but it hurts for only a second or so. It really isn't bad.
I do best when I have someone to talk to during the process or have a book to read. Just keep your mind off of it, and you'll do fine.
Your blood is really, really needed. Good luck!
hi,i have done it over 50 times it doesnt hurt and the cup of tea after is great
It's no big deal.
The worst part is when they prick the tip of your finger to test the iron level (or whatever it is they're testing)
its true that needle is prolly as big as ur arm that needles that damn big jk its not that big
Good, but give husband openion prefference.
Needles should not concern you regarding this decision. If you have ever given blood before for medical tests, then you are familiar with the needles used for blood donation. If this were a more evasive operation for donating another biological product (i.e. bone marrow), then I would express concern about your health and recent delivery. However, giving blood a short time after delivering a baby is not necessarily strenuous upon your health. This is all in speculation since I am not completely familiar with your current or past medical history (sometimes, these little details should be addressed for a more complete answer).
Dont worry its not a big needle.I give blood twice a year and Im a coward. Its nothing to be afraid off and it gives you a real BUZZ helping others.I used to donate years ago but got out of the habit but when my sister-inlaw had cancer she needed transfusions thats why I started again. Its a kind of paying others back for their kindness.
I work part-time at a local BB for the past 14 months and therefore, I also donate regularly. I was a BIG wuss, but rally, it isn't so bad and, what's more, as you mentioned, it is a tremendous thing to do! Only 5% of the population donates but the % of you, or a loved one needing a transfusion goes through the roof! So, look the other way and do your best. You'll be glad you did!! Best wishes....
Just turn your head you will barely notice the prick. The hard part is squeezing the ball and waiting for a full pint of blood. But if you went through child labor then it will be easy.
