Slight loss of pigment around neck and shoulders, What is it?


Question:
Started around the back of neck and slowly spread to shoulders. Second occurance in as many years, last year around same time spread to chest aswell.

Answers:
sounds like tinea versicolor. a gradual loss of color. it's a fungus. you need to see a dermatologist for some ointment. also try switch to a anti dandruff shampoo.

Could be rosacea, could be psoriasis, could be other things. Go see a dermatologist or your medical doctor.

It could be that you've been out in the sun too long with your shirt off or those areas exposed. If you have a tendency to peel after a sunburn, then that could be the cause. Whenever I peel, those areas tend to look a slightly different color.
