Can contact lenses get stuck in your eye?

Question: I passed out about a week ago (i'm hypoglycemic and didnt eat all day...not a good combo) and i lost consciouness. when i came too, one of my contacts wasn't in my eye and we couldnt find it on the ground or anything. My mom looked in my eye and said it wasn't in there. Now i keep getting weird pains around that eye. Could that contact still be stuck up there?? yeah i know, weird...has anyone else had a similar experience??

If it was still in there, it would hurt really bad now. It would turn into an infection by now.
