How often are you supposed to change your contact lense case?

Question:
Isn't it enough to just clean it thoroughly every couple of months with soap and hot water?

Answers:
You should change your case every 3 months - at most every six months. If you can't do it every 3 months, at least boil the open case and caps in boiling water for at least ten minutes, allow to dry completely on a clean towel. Rinse the case every day in your disinfecting solution, then close or store case and caps upside down on a clean towel.
Do not use regular soap and hot water - the soap can leave a residue that can get on your lenses.

Other Answers:
I change it after 6month.and I normally I rinse the case everyday with hot water

well usually whenever you buy more liquid you get a new case with the package so change it then thats what I do but if you want to keep it soap and water is fine but after you rinse it throughly rinse the inside with a saline solution and always no matter what kind of contacts you have extended wear or not always take them out everyday or you can get a ulcer in the eye and go blind

I think every case would last six months to a year. Soap and hot water should work fine. If you wash your lenses with a cleaner, I would use that to wash it and rinse with saline solution. Wash it in the morning after you put your contacts in, let it air dry and put the lids on. Never leave the case open during the day. You should be fine.
