headaches are caused by a lack of blood flow to the brain, and aspirin thins blood so it will flow easily to the brain.

Most of the time it's your muscles in your neck, face, and shoulders that are pulled and/or strained that cause headaches. Sometimes clenching teeth can cause headaches too.
