What will you do when you are sleeping and then you know you are awake but can't move and speak ?

Question:
I know I am awake but can't move, speak and can hear anything around me. It takes time for me to wake up physically unless somebody will shake me. I can moan and if someone around me will say something to me I can't reply even if I want to. I have to be touched and moved. If no one is around I exert all efforts to wake up and it takes time. I am afraid I may die in my sleep just like someone i know years ago who died inhis sleep. Some people said it was a heart attack but I didn't believe as that person told me about his problem before and I was not aware that he had heart problems. I have a solution and it takes time sometime but I want to know if there is a cure on this as my solution may not work everytime. I normally have this problem about once evrery two months.

There is a phase of sleep where you are paralyzed. Sometimes people begin to wake up while their body is still in this phase. I don't know a whole lot about it, but I believe the term is sleep paralasys. Look up more info on a medical site or a site dedicated to sleep disorders.
Lol relax m8 it's not a Heart Problum it's called "Sleep Paralysis"

Bascily when u go2 sleep everything shuts down but the "Automatic" Functions eg Breathing Pulse Heart Beat continue on as normal.

it usely happens if u r a heavy sleeper becasue it takes time 4 the Voluntry motions 2 kick in eg arms legs etc and if u r woken suddenly your mind scrambles 2 activate it voluntry functions but becasue you r still asleep it takes u longer. Dont wory it happens 2 every-one at some point it's happend 2 me!! I woz only paralyzed 4 a few seconds even though i knew it woz sleep paralysis it wosent funny! Now i understand how compleaty paralysed people feel when it's a new thing!!

although it's only happen 2wice as far as i know and more then likey due 2 da fact i smoke weed!! How-ever get your self checked out by a doctor better safe then sorry!!
I know what you mean. This happens to me maybe two or three times a month. I don't think its anything to worry about though. What really sucks is when you're half awake and half asleep but you are having a bad dream or nightmare at the same time and you are trying to wake yourself up, but your so out of it and paralyzed that you just have to lay there and take it until you're mind and body are able to really wake up 100%. Then afterwards I feel really groggy, like I've been in hypersleep for years. Weird, huh?
