I have been on Welbutrin for over a year and am having a weird side effect.?

Question:

I sweat all the time. Doesn't matter hot/cold.I sweat and it is getting worse! Just under my arms.no where else.deoderant does not help, I have tried them all.seriously..before I started taking it I hardly ever sweated under my arms.I'd have to be REALLY hot.now.I'm just typing on the computer in airconditioning and sweating. Just wanted to know if anyone else has the same side effect because this can't continue but I really hate to stop taking it. Any suggestions? Or comments?

I recommend that you talk with your doctor. I have not heard of your symptom as a side effect of this drug. You haven't mentioned your age or your gender, but if you are an older female, you might be entering menopause. During this phase of life, your hypothalamus control will get all screwy and you will have periods of excessive sweating or "hot flashes". Whatever you decide, don't stop taking the medication without talking with your doctor. They can prescribe the regime you should follow to discontinue this medication.
