Why does Tylenol Allergy Sinus Daytime make me sleepy?

Because it contains chlorpheniramine which is an antihistamine just like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and it causes somnolence. They just use it instead of diphenhydramine becase they think we are stupid (many are) and won't understand that the "daytime stuff" and the "nightime stuff" really isn't all that different; it's all just "stuff".

I don't know but it most 'daytime' cold or sinus meds make me sleepy too- so you're not alone.
And "PM" medication makes me stay awake if I take the full dose- not just awake- they make me WIRED! If I take half the does I'm fine.
I am not sure what medication is in the daytime medicine but diphenhydramine and pseudoephedrine cause drowsiness.
