how far away from the monitor is considered a safe distance for my eyes.?

isit too close to the monitor sometimes and my eyes start to hurt . what is a safe distance to sit ? and how long should I sit in front for it to be safe for my eyes.

i sit about 2 1/2 ft from it and im ok.

sometimes you need to turn your head from it every 20- 30 min, to relax your eyes.

It can be useful for office or home, just remember to take regular breaks when using VDU's and make sure that the lighting in the room is good. Also when siting at your computer make sure the monitor is at eye level or slightly below, so ur lookin at the screen and not straining your neck.
