Do animals other than humans have an appendix?

Question: Do other animals have appendixes (and can they get appendicitis?) If it's vestigal in humans, as some researchers think, does it have an analog elsewhere?

Answers:
Many mammals have appendixes. It's especially large in plant eating animals where it serves to harbor bacteria which support the decomposition of cellulose. I know from cats and dogs that they can get appendicitis.
