Is there an info network for special needs kids for medical professionals that are capable of testing our kids

Question:
I recently adopted a special needs child. I was told he would never be cognative, speak, walk, be potty trained, that he was 100% blind. 18 months later I found them all to be wrong. My son potty trained himself in 3 days, walks, runs, skips, jumps, dances, sight reads words, talks up a storm, follows directions, and has definate desires, favorites, and has no problem letting his wishes known. I have found so many doctors not equipped physically, emotionally, to adequately test him let alone obtain proper diagnosis. I am a fighter and I am really concerened about parents that may have run into so many walls that they accept what doctors and professionals say and diagnosis with expectations of more. Plus these medical records follow our children to school, disability, and affect the rest of their lives accurate or not. Does anyone know of networks that list good educated doctors and professionals? I am concerned!!!
