im 12 and i weigh 223 what kind of diet should i do i want to go on a diet where you only eat sertan things .

see the thing is when i look in the mirror i think i would look beautiful if i wernt so big im tierd of getting called names in school im going in to 7th grade and i dont want to be known as the fat girl i want to be known as me .

I'll bet you are beautiful already but it would be very good for you if you can lose some weight and summer is a great time to do it! If you can learn to eat more fruits and vegetables, like salads, and if you will make yourself get outside and move a lot, like taking walks every day, you will lose weight. It's not easy to do but it sounds like you are ready to try! By the time school starts, I'll bet you will lose some weight and feel much better about yourself! See if you can find a friend to walk with you to help you stay motivated!!

I would start by going to your regular doctor and ask him what would be best for you . at your age you really should not be dieting on your own with out a doctors supervision .

Don't eat until you are so full you can't eat anymore. Eat until you no longer feel hungry.

Start swimming if possible.. work out before you go to bed so you don't store fat when you sleep.


exercise,,,cut down on what u are eating.dont eat after 6 pm. U will start losing weight. honestly, i think it's best to work towards a balanced diet. it's fine to cut calories a bit, but unhealthy eating is never going to work out for the best in the end. i suggest trying to eat fruits and vegetables as much as you possibly can.

and more important for your weight: excercise! just do it. do it once a day for half an hour. try to do a variety of aerobic exercise and weight training. just go for a jog (try to sweat at least a little bit) and if you don't have weights at home, fill up some water bottles.

talking to your doctor about what's right for you is also a really a good idea. sadly, there are no quick fixes for this kind of thing.


i used to way much.
what i did was regular excercise..eat less.
eat less -> i'd eat anything even cakes and ice cream but in a smaller portion than what i used to eat. and whenever i felt hungry, i'd just drink water so that i would not be craving for food..
excercise-> its quite tiring but when you are in to it, you'll get used to it. I know you said you don't want a diet
where you ONLY eat certain things,
so here's what I would suggest

eat smaller portions,
if you feel need to snack only eat fruits or veggies
eliminate all junk foods & soda (very important)
drink lots of water (helps you feel full)
don't eat heavy meal late in evening

also very important that you begin
regular exercising .. basic ones like
sit-ups, toe-touches, jumping jacks, etc.

take long walks,ride bike, participate in sports,
dance (even if it's by yourself in your bedroom)
anything to increase physical activity.

It's good that you are wanting to drop some
pounds before your weight gets even more
out of control. Follow the steps above (I know
it won't be easy) and I'm sure you will be
pleased with the results your efforts bring.
