I have a sleeping problem. I can never seem to get to sleep and more happens but read on to find out what.?

Ok I am only 13 years old. But I can never get to sleep. And when I finally do, I wake up all the time during the night. I toss and turn and wake up and cant get back to sleep. Do I need to see a doctor or is there no helping a 13 year old because doctors cannot prescribe sleeping pills or is there something else that can help me? Please I really want your help because it is really affecting my daily activities.

ok fist it matters about what you sleep on and what size is the bed soft its that your spine is not straightned when u are sleeping i have to same problem and if u drink something whan its time to go to sleep its always works
yes i suggest you go see the doctor, it might be a problem that you cannot "solve" by taking pills. For example there's this "disease" sleep aponea...so just go see the doc

Are you worried about something?Are u under stress?if not then maybe in your mind u have fixed thought that u wont get sleep.Try doing this be active for the whole day and then try to go to bed with your fav novel .start reading it .It shudnt be the one u have already read.try reading and you will fall asleep .
Do you always think about things when you can't sleep? Such as late homework, friends, family, etc? If not, I would suggest heating up a big glass of milk and drinking it warm. It activates enzymes that promote relaxation and sleep. If that doesn't work, turn the FAN on full blast in your face.

Puberty may be the cause of your sleep disruptions!! it's fairly common as well as leg cramps and other physical or hormonal changes! but i think you should go see your family doctor, he may have some practical solutions for you.

First off,don't sleep till 2;00 in the afternoon. get up at a set time every day(let's say--9:00 am) go to bed at a set time every day(let's say 11:00Pm)
Don't take naps, don't watch TV or play games all day, get involved in some kind of physical activity to make you tired.
We are so wired in todays society that it is so hard to shut down when we try to go to sleep, 13 is a little young to have to rely on sleep medicine, and after you take it awhile, it no longer works, because your body will get used to it.
My sister takes tylenol PM or advil pm and she said it works for her.
But in all honesty, you should try normal ways to try to sleep, whether it be through counting or relaxing exercises.
Looks like you have insomnia which is a common sleeping disorder. You need to talk to your parents about it, & they need to take you to your doctor. Lack of sleep is not healthy for anyone especialy a 13yr old, your boduy needs to rest. So you realy should talk to your folks about it.
