Does anyone have experience with liposuction? What are the pros/cons?

Question:
I am considering liposuction and have done lots of research on it, but was wanting honest answers and not "we want your business" answers. I have always been active and I excersize regularly, but can't seem to get rid of fat in my lower stomach and inner thighs. I have tried a variety of excersizes and have watched my diet. I seem to loose weight in other areas, but not in my stomach or thighs. I have considered lipo for several years, but wanted to try intense excersizing first.but have gotten no results. I am usually not one to go for the easy way out, but I am getting frustrated with putting in a lot of effort and time but getting no results! Please let me know of your experience with liposuction. Thanks!

I have not had surgery done, I am actually happy being curvy and am expecting a child so its only right for me to be.

However, a lot of plastic surgeons are not real surgeons, if you get a cheap deal that does NOT mean quality. Certain people can acquire equipment to perform cosmetic surgeries offline or on discount prices as a doctor, but they may only be a dentist with access to dental anasthesia to keep you conked out. There's a lot of fraudulent plastic surgeons and uncertified surgeons. Certain official sounding plastic surgeon "boards" and groups aren't real. Just because a surgeon will have a plaque stating support from a supposed "National Committee of Liposuction" or something does not make it real or even government approved.

Go for the pricier stuff; real surgeons need high prices to maintain safety procedures and costs and to combat malpractice or other type of lawsuits from unsatisfied clients. A low price is fishy.

Remember that these surgeries have a very long recovery time of as much as a year. During that year you will be sometimes immobile, in bed-rest, in uncomfortable bandaging and padding. it's painful and it doesn't always work. Not only that but I have seen firsthand liposuction customers who had the fat just come back in other places.

The risk of an error is also extraordinary even with a GOOD surgeon. Sometimes a weird thing happens, like all of a sudden a thick lump or roll of fat will appear over or around the area you had lipo'ed.

Liposuction, like a lot of cosmetic procedures, is not always successful and is seen as an "unnecessary " medical procedure. You put your body through the stress and trauma of invasive surgery, and anasthesia can kill you alone, not to mention the procedure.

You need to think to yourself if this is what you need. Look at the build of your mother, look at pictures of your grandmother, and you'll see if maybe that is the way nature made you, that is where you store fat. The stomach and thighs are where it tends to go. surgery cannot always fix nature. If that is how your body is programmed, it'll come right back, and if your skin doesn't heal properly in those areas or if something strange happens, it'll lump out in strange places. Women just tend to store fat, and the older you get the more its apparrent. I'm pretty okay right now, but I know that when I hit 45 I'll be like my mother, with a wide butt and a wide stomach.

Get your liposuction surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery (including facelift/ breast enhancement tummy tuck./lipo) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .

My cousin got her cosmetic surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results.sHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. .hope this helps.I think she paid only 8000$ for the tummy tuck and liposuction surgery for which she was quoted 22000 $ in USA.
