Mixing a large amount of any medicine with any kind of alcohol can kill you - just as taking large amounts of either by themselves can.

Mixing alcohol with barbiturates (such as sleeping pills) is extremely dangerous and can lead to serious complications up to and including death. The effect you get from mixing the two is not double but rather exponential (instead of two times the effect you get four times the effect). Therefore, if you had one drink in a sitting mixed with sleeping pills, it would be the equivalent of having four.
Any brand/type of alcohol and sleeping medication kill you deader than a door knob. Almost and prescription medication when mixed with booze can kill when taken in the right dose.

Yes if you drink too much and take too many. Its called Over dosing and if you are thinking of trying to do this please think it over. Before you are likely to make it to the dying part you will make it the past out very sick stomach pumped part. But anytime you mix large amounts of any alcohol with sleeping pills you never know how your body is going to react to it. Please be very careful. Just don't do it.
