Ear problem, mom won't take me to the doctor...?

Question:
I used to have really bad ear infections as a baby which made my hearing bad until my surgery eleven years ago, I am 13 now and my ears really hurt. It feels luck I have big lumps stuck in them too and my mom won't take me to the doctor, she says it's just earwax but it hurts like hell to get it out and my hearing isn't so good now. Can I have an ear infection? What should I do??

PS, I am extremely phobic of anything going near my ears too.

Answers:
It is possible that it is just ear wax but either way if your ears are causing you pain then you need to see a doctor. Your mother needs to wake up. If your mother is aware of your past ear problems then she needs to get it done. Maybe you should talk to your dad or another relative about it if your mother won't take you.
Go see your school nurse.
Ummm..tell your mother to wake up, and take you to the doctor. It could be earwax, but it could of started an infection in it. There is also a thin called earwax candle's that you can use to release some of the pressure if the earwax is causing pressure on the ear. You can get them from Health food stores, and they will tell you how to use them. Good Luck! Hopefully your mother wakes up to reality.
have your mom look into ear candles to get the wax out. you can get them a GNC. but you would have to allow the tip of the candle to be put in your ear.
At thirteen you should be able to call your doctor and explain the pain and your phobia, I'm sure the office will set you up with an appointment and may even give you a home remade for the pain until you can make arrangements to have the visit.
Aww, that must really suck. It's probably impacted earwax (when it sits there for a long time and gets hard), which can really hurt and affect your hearing. If your mom won't take you to the doctor, try seeing the school nurse, if your school has one; she may not be able to do anything to fix it, but she probably will tell your mom about the problem, which should hopefully change her mind about it being no big deal. As for your problem with things going in your ears (which I can totally relate to, I'm sort of like that as a result of bad doctor experiences), here's a weird possibility: in Japan, they actually have little vacuums that suck out earwax. These aren't readily available in the U.S. or anywhere else, but they can be ordered online, or your doctor may possibly even have one. If this isn't an option, there are herbal things you can use to calm yourself down while your doctor does whatever is necessary to fix this problem.
I think, first, visit your school doctor for advice, inspection and medication. Then inform your counselor or the school section in charge of students' problems like your case for assistance, that is, if it is more serious, please tell them your symptom and request a transfer to a good general hospital (a clinic is expensive). Then tell you mom this is serious, no kidding, please take me to visit an ear doctor right now.
Olive oil will soften the wax in your ears and make it easier to remove.
mom is just late to do so but she will latter accept. keep pressing her
