People with anxiety?

Question:
what symptoms do you have and how do you deal with it?

Answers:
Heart rate increases, nervousness, I have gone into fight or flight mode, abnormal breathing (to fast), my brain can become over-excitedt/neurons overfiring and I can feel it; sometimes my body chemistry lapses to imbalance mode and I have had a few full-blown panic attacks, one landing me in the hospital emergency room. But, I also have a history of epilepsy. When I feel "not quite right" I use supplements of specific amino acids and/or a drug tranquilizer. I keep a bottle of tranquilizer prescribed by my doctor to use when needed and it seems like every several months I am in need to use it to help me make it without spazzing out because it is very scarey for me to lose it, in my extreme case I believe it is physiological but those physiological responses can be caused by emotional disturbances or too much stress for me. For me, it is a fine line trying to keep my body balanced, I can't take it for granted. It can take little to throw me off as I am so sensitive. I have tried to be more in tune with my body and cut off the anxiety before it becomes too far gone.

you are on ends all of the time. You worry about something. Go to therapy.
Too much worry. Too much stress. Get rid of your problems.
I'm a really anxious person.I don't really have a way of dealing with It though.I just get really nervous and It's bad;[ I guess I've never tried to deal with It, It's just how I am!
Speaking from personal experience, I know I'm about to have an anxiety attack when my face become numb. I get numbness in my left arm and heart palpatations. I almost feel like I'm having a heart attack. It's very scary and I feel like the air around me is being taken away from me. I feel like running and hiding in a small little spot where I think I'll feel safe. You have to learn how to breathe properly, meaning from deep inside your stomach, not your nose. There are breathing exercises you can learn. Yoga and/or any other type of exercise helpts as well. Currently, I'm on two medications to help me with my anxiety/panic disorder. With this I also suffer from depression. Here's some information I found on the web for you..

Anxiety Symptoms

Panic disorders - Separate and intense periods of fear or feelings of doom developing over a very short time frame—10 minutes—and associated with at least 4 of the following:
Palpitations
Sweating
Trembling
Shortness of breath
Sense of choking
Chest pain
Nausea
Dizziness
A feeling of being detached from the world (derealization)
Fear of dying
Numbness or tingling
Chills or hot flushes

Generalized anxiety disorder - Excessive and unrealistic worry over a period of at least 6 months associated with 3 of the following:
Restlessness
Easy fatigue
Difficulty concentrating
Irritability or explosive anger
Muscle tension
Sleep disturbances
Personality changes such as becoming less social

Phobic disorders - Intense, persistent, and recurrent fear of certain objects (such as snakes, spiders, blood) or situations (such as heights, speaking in front of a group, public places). These exposures may trigger a panic attack.

Stress disorders - Anxiety (also known as post-traumatic stress disorder) caused by the exposure to either death or near-death circumstances such as fires, floods, earthquakes, shootings, automobile accidents, or wars, for example. The traumatic event is re-experienced in thoughts and dreams. Common behaviors include the following:
Avoiding activities, places, or people associated with the triggering event
Difficulty concentrating
Difficulty sleeping
Being hypervigilant (you closely watch your surroundings)
Feeling a general sense of doom and gloom with diminished emotions such as loving feelings or aspirations for the future

Symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, fainting, and weakness generally should not be attributed to anxiety and require evaluation by a doctor.
I'm amped up all the time, pretty much. Everything makes me nervous. I get these crazy symptoms. My heart races and pounds, I feel like I can't get enough air into my lungs, and I basically feel like I'm going to die, even though I know I'm not dying. How do I deal with it? Xanax and Zoloft.
Depends on the trigger ... but symptoms can include heart starting to beat faster, feelings of panic or fear, shorter breaths, sometimes unsteadiness. My doctor recommended a technique which is : place your hands on your stomach and press semi-firmly, and then breathe in slowly. Breathe in using your stomach, fill your insides with air slowly. Keep doing that and you'll calm down somewhat. That's for when you feel the symptoms of anxiety starting. More broadly, it helps to face your triggers. Find out what's causing your anxiety and deal directly with it.
