A physical therapist with a permit can work? But how much do they earn if so?

Question:
Well I got a permit to practice as a physical therapist but with a supervision of a license therapist. I dont get paid to practice but I would like to use my permit as to get a job and get paid for it. My supervisor tells me that I cant work with a permit.

Answers:
The laws might very between states, but in most states, a new graduate has a moratorium before they take their licensure exam. Under the moratorium, they can work (and get paid) but only with general supervision from a licensed PT. There should be no difference in your salary before and after the permit...however, your employment will be terminated if you fail your boards.

I am very suprised your school did not provide you this information.

I, myself, was employed just before I took my boards...I worked under supervision until I received my results.there was no change in my salary.

Congrats on graduation and good luck.
