Epididymitis questions...?

Question:

Does epididymitis cause the testicle it's infecting to drop lower than the uninfected testicle? Also, does the epididymitis worsen if you adjust/move/touch the infected testicle frequently? And what exactly does it feel like when you have epididymitis? 10 points for best answer.

Answers:
I have never heard of the testicle actually dropping; however, it might appear to have dropped due to swelling.

Moving/adjusting or touching the infected testicle should not affect the disease process at all. However, it can increase the swellling and pain so it would be best not to manhandle your testicle.

I can't personally tell you what it feels like but can tell you that the men who have it often have severe scrotal pain. They also complain of painful urination, intercourse and ejaculation

Treatment involves antibiotics. To alleviate the symptoms:
bed rest
athletic supporter
ice or cold packs
pain medication (ibuprofen or what doctor recommends)
elevating the scrotum (use a folded towel) when lying down
With the antibiotics, pain is usually relieved considerably by the third day of treatment but it is important to finish all of the antibiotic!
