Studies shown that 90% of the American population either wear glasses or contact lenses. Why is that?

I wish i knew the answer to this one. I am one of the 90% and i hate it! I opted for contacts for the simple fact that i dispise glasses. I'm not sure on the yellow light thing? Stress i dont think has much to do with it. Lack of sleep is definatley a factor, same as good nutrition. I went to the eye doctor, my glasses i used to have were so old they were literally fiving me headaches. So i quit wearing them. When i finally went to the doctor, my perscription was SO different that before. She said that i totally did the wrong thing by not wearing anything. I strained my eyes for over 2 years. Now i'm literally blind if i take out my contacts. My eyes are much more relaxed and i can actually see w/o squinting. Hope this helps
no one is perfect.
i don't no
Sitting to close to the TV. Don't you remember your mother saying that doing that would cause you to go blind? Well, that and one other activity.
Hi Tiffany...
That's a very interesting statement you posted, can you share where you saw that at?
Being in the health care field and as per the American Federation of Teachers, I learned last year that the "#1 cause of learning disorders in elem school children is poor vision going unchecked..." Insurances do not cover these any more yet we include all aspects including lasik at 55% tp 60% off at all franchises.
Ask for the link.
that cant be true!! most ppl i know dont wear glasses or contacts. and many ppl wear contacts just to change their eye color, not because they have a vision problem. i dont know where u are getting ur imfo from...
