Whats different about me compared to other mormon kids?
Question:
At youth group/school I am the only one who wears a necklace, a bracelet and boxer shorts that you can see if I bend over.Out of all the mormons (in my youth group/school) I am it. It has always been like this. I have been mormon all my life, so have all them.
Answers:
You're unique, all right, a Mormon boy who dances to his own tune! Good for you. Fortunately, even though Mormons usually delight in following the herd, they tend to be a tolerant group, so they probably all notice that you don't dress or act like them but they likely accept you just the same.
I agree with the answer above, that your parents are probably responsible for not making you into a Mormon clone, as opposed to how your friends' parents raised them and expected them to dress. I'm sure God loves you all just the same (but maybe reserves an extra smile just for you!).
hahahaha! morman? right.
your original in mormorn terms i suppose. not so much compared to other kids in public schools. but most mormon parents have their children on a religiously strict leash. you just choose not to conform to your religions socially acceptable way to dress i suppose. but in my book, if you like to wear it.. why should it matter to anyone else? if you like it, wear it, if they dont screw them. you are your own person and your own person while not original in everday life (only because everything has been done before at least once) is original compared to other mormons. and do they have a problem with you dressing like that? if they were your friends they would respect what you like to wear and if they want to judge you by your clothes and not the person inside then they arnt very good friends are they?
